First of all, we believe everyone deserves a warm welcome to the house of God. You should expect to be greeted by the saints with handshakes and smiles.
Secondly, we believe in worshiping God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). Worship involves the whole person; spirit, mind, and body (Mark 12:30). You should expect to see lifted hands, exuberant singing, dancing, crying and kneeling before the Lord, as well as other expressions of love and gratefulness. Worship at JFWC is not for the purpose of demonstration, but for adoration unto the Lord in thankfulness of His mercy and goodness.
Thirdly, we believe in and exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit. You should expect to hear believers pray and sing in their spiritual language known as the "gift of tongues" (Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:4). You should also expect to see the other gifts of the Spirit in operation during the service (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).
Fourthly, we believe in the life changing power of the word of God (1 Corinthians 1:18). You should expect to hear a Biblical message from our Pastor, given in truth, love, and clarity. Our Pastor's heart is to see the lost saved, the found trained, and the called sent into the mission field.
Finally, we gather at JFWC in faithful anticipation of the manifestation of God's presence. Our prayer is not for a visitation from God, but a holy habitation of His presence in our lives.
We pray that your first time with us won't be your last. Everyone needs a Pastor and a good church. We encourage you to experience JFWC with multiple encounters of both our worship services and life groups. We would love to have you come and grow with us! We're always looking at expanding the family of God, whether it's here at JFWC or at one of our sister churches in the four state region.
